Project Objectives:
- Technical assessment of fixed dome household bio digester (GGC model) in ten districts of Nepal comprising two ecological zones mid-hill and Terai.
- Modification of design of prefabricated household floating drum biodigester for efficient year-around operation.
- Demonstration and applicability test of modified prefabricated household floating drum bio digester at field level (Kaski, mid hall and Rauthat, Terai).
- Further design modification of prefabricated household floating drum bio digester based on performance monitoring and user’s feedback, if required.
- Development of suitable commercialization plan in the form of a comprehensive marketing strategy.
Expected Outcomes:
- Four peer reviewed ISI indexed journal paper publications
- Six researchers will be trained
- Two graduate thesis support and 1 partial PhD work support
