Project Title: Research proposal for strategic planning for facilitating development of Environment friendly vehicle mobility in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal.

Project Objectives:

  • Detailed design of Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles in Kathmandu Valley.
  • Policy recommendation for Tariff determination and Loan Security Determination for public or private-public partnership charging stations to be developed in Kathmandu Valley.
  • Study of Impact of installation of Charging multiplex in a particular location to the Electric Power supply of the Kathmandu Valley.

Expected Outcome:

  • Design Plan: Charging Multiplex for various capacities (100 kVA, 315 kVA, 500 kVA, 1000 kVA etc.)
  • Strategic Documents:
    1. Tariff Fixation and Loan Security Determination Recommendation for Charging Multiplex.
    2. Policy Suggestions for roll out mechanism of the Charging Multiplex.
  • Software:
    1. Metering, Payment and Reservation system for the Charging Multiplex Development Plan for Charging Multiplex inside the Kathmandu Valley.
  • A prototype of Pilot Charging multiplex.
